The ADRA “New Start” gardens in New Plymouth have found that their new focus in horticulture has left them literally bursting into life.
There are rows of New Zealand native trees in plastic bags all looking healthy and ready to be dispatched to new locations.
The gardens has had many challenges over the years but has survived the tough economic times by the on-going support of ADRA and the Adventist church community but right now they again ask for donations to keep afloat and in return they are offering quality plants in large quantities for churches and schools, or smaller quantities for private homes.
If you would like to negotiate a way to see these plants find a new home and at the same time help secure the future of the gardens we are waiting to hear from you.
Imagine the ways that these plants could enhance your church or your school or perhaps they would make a fitting tribute to someone who just enjoyed our New Zealand foliage so much that they would have approved of a memorial by way of native bush reserve.
New Start has Kowhai and Cabbage trees, Flaxes both mountain and miniature, Mahoe and Akeake as well as varieties of Caprosma and native grasses.
Call our National Programme manager, Evan Fray on 021-2409048 for more details or email evan@adra.org.nz to discuss other ways to become involved with our National Programmes.
