Before ADRA starts a project anywhere in the world, we go in to the heart of the community and listen to the needs of people. During and after the project, we continue to connect with people and ensure their needs have been met. What we witness as an outcome is hundreds of stories of transformation – powerful and inspiring stories of transformations happening as a direct result of supporters like you, thank you.
An infection started to grow and a few years later Maria had to have her leg amputated in order to save her life from the infection.
Losing a leg made it more difficult for Maria and her husband to earn an income. They would both work on their farm but were struggling to pay for their childrens education.
Through an ADRA project, Maria gained the training and tools needed to double her crop yield. Maria’s family has been able to double their income, making a dramatic difference to their lives. The family now has better nutrition and the children are more consistently able to go to school.
