On February 26, a 7.5 earthquake struck Papua New Guinea. The death toll has now reached 67, with at least 500 more people injured and 127,000 people in need of immediate aid such as food, shelter and healthcare. Many remote areas are still inaccessible.

Currently, ADRA is working with representatives of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Community Leaders and the National Emergency Management Offices (NEMO) to identify and respond to the needs of the communities worst affected by the earthquake. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
