Ambae Volcano Emergency Response and Resilience Project

Following the Volcanic Eruption on Ambae, families have been forced to evacuate and leave their homes behind.

ADRA will work to assist the 4,135 children, women and men who have had to leave permanently. ADRA is attending to both immediate and medium-term recovery meeting Water and resilience needs.

Activities to achieve this include implementation of community workshops, household practices, funds to protect water sources and implementing village action plans and the distribution of evacuation kits.

Through these activities, children, women, and men will be able to resume to normal routines as soon as possible, have access to safe drinking water, naturally practice good hygiene to avoid disease and have confidence in their preparations for future evacuations.
